I'm a slacker already!

I've only had this blog for 3 weeks and it's already been 2 weeks since I posted!! In my defence I think the people who write my off-duty are trying to kill me. I've just finished a run of 102 hours in 2 weeks, including 2 sets of nights. That's a lot of time in an A&E (ER)!!

Yesterday I went to a teddy bears picnic. I know....I'm 29, what was I doing at a teddy bears picnic....well....I was invited by Drew, Hannah and Marianne (who's 2 and therefore eligible to be there!!)....and....well....I went to the nursery where it was being held. I've been to several of these picnics before but that was more than 20 years ago! It was a fun time. Marianne thought it was great, she played on the climbing frame, watched the magician and loved running about in the woods. The whole site looked so much smaller than I remember....I know everyone says that when they go back to places they remember as children. I'm so glad that they still allow the kids to explore and play in the woods....I was worried that in these days of health and safety gone mad that they would have stopped them enjoying the wonders of nature! I shouldn't have worried....I was very much reassured that it's part of the curriculum!

Anyway I didn't take any photos yesterday so I can't share but I can share a couple of LO's from a trip to Wimpole Home Farm. Marianne, Hannah and I went there March 2010. These LO were part of a huge pile that I hadn't photographed and still haven't put into and album!

We went for the lambing weekend they have there. This LO is all the sheep we saw on the day. The one in the middle is a little boy lamb being castrated. They use tight rubber bands!! I made this with the February 2010 SC kit Baker's Dozen and the Scones add-on. I loved that kit!

This LO is of the pigs we saw. There were some very cute piglets there. It was made with the April 2009 SC kit Jack and Jill. I sometimes struggle with die-cut papers as they look so nice I don't want to cut into them. This LO was a easy way out, leave the die-cut in tact and embellish it!

Cute piggies!! TTFN. N x x
